description Between 2005 and 2016, a significant number of archaeological remains was discovered in Taraess, ancient Tatilti, an eastern Algerian village located in the wilaya of M’sila. Among the discoveries, two funerary inscriptions are outstanding insofar as they improve the evidence and our knowledge about the provincial army. These epitaphs mention two soldiers who belonged to the cohors IV Sygambrorum already attested by epigraphy in the province. In addition to the information on the circumstances of their death, these inscriptions bring further evidence about the deployment of the unit at Tatilti.
