Furthermore Jesus’ prayers are constantly associated with the cross, by which salvation history reaches its culmination and the Kingdom of God is established. As Jesus prepared his way through prayer, so his disciples are to pray during the period after his resurrection and ascension in their awaiting of the parousia. |
