Summary:Speeches of Prizrensko-južnomoravska (Vranjanska) speaking zone take up a particular position within the Stokavian dialect. Their specifics are two kinds of features: a number of archaisms and, especially, innovations which are not familiar with Serb- Croat speeches. Archaisms include the preservation of a specific phoneme for semivowel ' and nonchanged vocal l. i -l, that is, their alterations partly or completely different regarding Stokavian speeches. Out of innovations the most characteristic are the following: the lose of quantitative differences (disappearance of opposition of the long syllables toward short ones), transformation of synthetic declination into analytic one, analytic comparison instead of synthetic one, lose of infinitive, and the use of doubled form of personal pronouns.
