description | Abstract The spraying process has been applied by spraying of Cu - 15 % Sn - 0.65 % P wire on a medium carbon ( 0.4 % ) . The effect of the mechanism of lamella formation on the microstructure features and other properties such as roughness , hardness and phases formation , has been studied . It has been concluded from the detailed analysis of microstructure of the coated layers that the layers formed are produced by rapid solidification . The real surface contact between the lamella is limited .This is resulted in increasing surface roughness and dicreasing hardness . X - ray diffraction data has not shown any change in phases formed after spraying process . |
