description The concordat issue split the radical movement of Serbia. The 1914 concordat did not represent a problem to the Radical Party because of the small number of Catholics on the territory of the Kingdom of Serbia. The draft of the concordat caused a big debate among the radicals. The ruling Yugoslav radical community headed by Milan Stojadinović stood for the acceptance of the concordat in the parliamentary debates in 1937, in which it was supported by the smaller part of the Orthodox Church and the public opinion and experts. The radical opposition gathered around the main board of the National Radical Party, the larger part of the Orthodox Church and the Serbian public opinion were against the concordat. As a compromise solution, the concordat draft was taken off the agenda after 1937.
