| Summary: | This study refers to a survey on researches on the theme of violence at school national level. the goal was the map of theoretical production of research groups related to the topic registered in the directory of research groups in brazil, registered in the cnpq and the scientific productions developed by anped. the bibliometric analysis of data was used as methodology, based on an exploratory and bibliographic research. the results obtained demonstrate that the research in the area of school violence, though incipient, have a significant growth about the theme, with emphasis on sociological and psychological approaches.
