The complete mitochondrial genome of the Fengjing pig

Fengjing pig is one of the famous local breeds in China. In this study, we reported the complete mitochondrial genome of the Fengjing pig. The complete mitogenome sequence is 16,720 bp in length, containing the typical complement of 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, 22 transfer RNAs, a...

Description
Summary:Fengjing pig is one of the famous local breeds in China. In this study, we reported the complete mitochondrial genome of the Fengjing pig. The complete mitogenome sequence is 16,720 bp in length, containing the typical complement of 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, 22 transfer RNAs, and a non-coding control region. The new sequenced complete mitogenome of the Fengjing pig will provide valuable information for the application to conservation genetics and evolutionary studies for Chinese local pig breeds.
