Description
Summary:Despite the debates and divergent manifestations among philosophers of science, the production of scientific knowledge is still subject of several discussions. Even separated by three centuries, Francis Bacon and Gaston Bachelard stand out in this context of discussions by the appreciation of such issues and contributions from their approaches. Thus, this paper aims to analyze the barriers to the evolution of the thought and scientific knowledge by meeting, in a single dialog, the idols of the human intellect identified by Bacon and the epistemological obstacles mentioned by Bachelard. In the case of administrative sciences, such reflection brings as contributions: the uprooting of practices of common sense, disseminated through unscientific business literature; encouraging the incorporation of other research designs, arising from other disciplines science as a way to help overcome the obstacles inherent in the research methods used in the area; the discussion about the presence of such barriers in the institutional framework and its influence on organizational learning process.
