description | The BRICS countries, namely Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, are dynamically
driven emerging economies that have experienced rapid growth and significant political
transformations in recent decades. This article examines the challenges and opportunities faced by
the BRICS countries in enhancing governance and implementing comprehensive public
administration reforms. Each country has its unique political, social, and economic context,
resulting in diverse challenges. These include corruption, bureaucratic inefficiencies, lack of
transparency, inadequate public service delivery, and uneven regional development. This paper
aims to explore the challenges and opportunities in governance and public administration reform
within the context of BRICS, the unique characteristics and commonalities of BRICS countries,
identifies key challenges in governance and public administration, and proposes strategies to
harness the opportunities for reform. The findings of this research provide valuable insights for
policymakers and practitioners in BRICS countries and beyond. |
