description In this study, white reflective films integrated with various ZnO/ZnS surface nanostructures were explored. Based on optical microscope (OM), field-emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) results, nanostructures integrated with ZnS shell structures improve the material properties of a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) membrane. In addition, the surface contact angle measurements and XRD results show the hydrophilic and crystalline structures of these membranes are enhanced due to the addition of ZnS shell structures and an Au layer. White reflective PET films synthesized with various nanostructures have the potential to optimize the usage of the white reflective PET films.
