Summary: | The current study reviews and analysis the main thoughts of newfangled thoughts movement known as Sunni Qurāniyūn anout Quran and Hadith.Earlyorigin of this movement was in IndianSubcontinent and then these thoughts went to the Arab world through Egypt.The followers of this movement believe that Quran is the sole source of legislation in Islam. Therefore, they reject the prophetic tradition (Sunnah) as a source of legislation for two reasons:firstly prophet's hadiths are not divine revelation, because the Prophet had forbidden the codification of his hadiths and second, these Hadiths are fabricated and distorted Due to thedelay inwriting them. Therefore, they have not authority. Qurāniyūn are modernistand called for adaptation of the Quran with time requirements and adjustment of religious issues in terms of the intellectual foundation. They interpret Quran verses with rational method based on reflection and free ijtihad or individual reasoning. Also, their influenceof rational and empirical sciences is caused they interpret the occult and paranormal facts based on natural phenomena and sensory.This sect believes that there is no need to interpret the Quran, because the interpretation is only about ambiguous and complex issues, but the Holy Quran is clear and free from any ambiguityandonly thinking in its verses is need. Therefore, they ignorinterpreters and their comments. The Most oftheirarguments are based on misgiving and fallacies. So in this article, we introduce most popular sects of Qurāniyūn andits founders as well astheir intellectual and ideological trends and finally we review and analyze the most important of their thoughts. |
