description In this paper, two implementations of a Resource Directory based on document oriented databases are described. Resource Directory is a directory storing descriptions of resources available in an Internet of Things system. Their performances are compared with performance of a Resource Directory with the same functionality, but implemented using a relational, SQL database. The evaluation results show that the document based Resource Directories provide more flexible management of the resources and a shorter response time.
