description Due to the imperfection of industrial technology, stress is the most important factor reducing productive potential of young animals. One of the ways to cope with stress is to increase adaptive abilities and resistance of the body to adverse factors. It can be achieved by optimizing metabolism, in particular, with the introduction of biologically active substances of plant origin. One of these substances is ursolic acid, which is contained in large quantities in cranberry meal extract. In this regard, the aim of the research was to study the effect of different doses of dry cranberry meal extract (containing 40% ursolic acid) on the metabolic status and growth indicators of calves of Holstein black-and-white breed.
