Description
Summary:Generic status is returned to Plagiographus Chevrolat, 1873 gen. resurr., the genus, which was earlier incorrectly synonymized with the genus Coniocleonus by Faust [1904]. The earlier described genus Borisocleonus, Arzanov 2006 also included representatives earlier belonged to the genus Coniocleonus sensu Faust [1904]. A separate status of the genera Coniocleonus sensu novo and Stephanocleonus Motschulsky, 1860 sensu novo is discussed. Synonymy of Coniocleonus и Stephanocleonus proposed by Anderson [1987] is not supported. The genus Coniocleonussensu novo is divided into two new subgenera, Augustecleonus subgen. n. (type species Curculio glaucus Fabricius, 1787) and Angarocleonus subgen. n. (type species Cleonus cineritius Gyllenhal, 1834). Identification key to the genera and subgenera, as well as the species catalogue is provided
