Description
Summary:The study aims to explain the relationship between the motivations and intentions and to evaluate the differences according to their demographic characteristics. A quantitative research method was used in the study, and a questionnaire was used as a data collection technique. The research was conducted in Turkey and the data obtained from 253 questionnaires were analyzed. In conclusion, the research found that there is a positive and significant relationship between learning/discovery & thrill, which is one of the motivation dimensions, and intention. Furthermore, it was concluded that people between the ages of 46-65 have a higher intention to go on a cruise compared to people aged 25 and younger. The results obtained from this study can contribute to the advertising, promotion, marketing, and sales processes of cruise agencies in the Turkish cruise tourism market.
