Summary: | The study aims to explain the relationship between the motivations and intentions and to evaluate the differences
according to their demographic characteristics. A quantitative research method was used in the study, and a questionnaire was
used as a data collection technique. The research was conducted in Turkey and the data obtained from 253 questionnaires were
analyzed. In conclusion, the research found that there is a positive and significant relationship between learning/discovery &
thrill, which is one of the motivation dimensions, and intention. Furthermore, it was concluded that people between the ages of
46-65 have a higher intention to go on a cruise compared to people aged 25 and younger. The results obtained from this study can
contribute to the advertising, promotion, marketing, and sales processes of cruise agencies in the Turkish cruise tourism market.
