Summary:The paper discusses the problem of introducing the strategy of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) to develop the skills of cross-cultural communication in international environment among university students. The aims of the pilot course included raising intercultural awareness, building cross-cultural communication and English language skills. Ways of tackling these problems and students’ post-course feedback are analyzed and explicated in this paper. The characteristic features of content and forms of realization of a course «Skills of intercultural communication in international environment» are given in the article. The forms and methods of work on the development of cross-cultural and foreign-language communicative competence of students are described, four types of communicative trainings are presented.
