| Summary: | This article presents the methodology adopted for the development of a preventive conservation plan for the Alexeïeff's collection, belonging to the Archives Françaises du Film (AFF). To this end, we highlight two aspects: 1) the adoption of a comparative method to specify what were the differences in the guard conditions of two types of collections belonging to the same institution; 2) the importance of a clear and inclusive dialogue between the preventive conservation consultant and the staff of the institution evaluated, in order that the preventive conservation plan is feasible and adapted to the reality of the institution for which it was designed. |
