Description
Summary:The article is devoted to the development of innovation activity in the Republic of Bulgaria and the modern challenges that the country faces when introducing innovations in small and medium-sized enterprises, education and science. In modern conditions, stable economic development cannot be achieved without an efficiently functioning innovation system. Innovation is at the heart of the knowledge economy, and management in the 21st century can be characterized as an innovative type of management. Globally, the transition from investment-driven growth to innovation-driven growth is beginning. The latter, which is typical for moderately developed countries, to which the Republic of Bulgaria belongs, is achieved through the adaptation of global technologies to local production. The focus is on the development trend of innovation activities in Bulgaria, so that by 2027 the country will receive the status of “moderate innovator” in the European Innovation Ranking.
