Summary: | This article studies the understanding of a broader formation in the interface with ethics in the contemporary scenario of education. The assumption is that training is not possible without ethics, whereas training can empower individuals with ethical discernment. However, the pedagogical proposals inspired by Bildung (broad formation) with an interdependence in axiology can, in a general way, fall into a trap of the globalized market. Hence, it is necessary to proceed with an unreserved criticism of the ideological forces that corrupt the possibility of integrally forming the human, denouncing the education that prepares for specific functions, in other words, for the labor market. Finally, it should be stressed that the Bildung runs the risk of degenerating into a market ideology - if it has not degenerated.
