Summary:A magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck Albania on November 26,2019. This is the strongest earthquake in decades in Albania’s capital Tirana and surrounding areas. A total of 51 people were killed and about 900 were injured in the earthquake. A large number of buildings and houses were destroyed or badly damaged. After December 27,the government of Albania successively declared the state of emergency for the capitals Tirana,Durres and Lac.
