Summary:This research addresses the social imaginary into different populations from type explicative research with the aim of analyzing trends in reading context performing students from different faculties of the Tecnologico de Antioquia in understanding imaginary relation to student diversity generated in the valuation of difference, concluding that imaginary in students arise from direct interaction, is associated with positive notions, ethnic groups are perceived as discrimination and geographically distant in the case of indigenous groups, and feel comfortable in the relationship with everyone.
