description This paper introduces the technical routes and characteristics of four traditional adiponitrile production processes, including acrylonitrile dimerization method, butadiene method, adipic acid catalytic ammonification method and caprolactam method, were introduced and compared in terms of reaction principle, process, production cost and environmental protection. The production process with low cost, low energy consumption and good environmental benefits was found to provide reference for the production and development of adiponitrile in China.
