Sumario:This article discusses how students in elementary school build their arguments from solving a problem of knowledge physical proposed by the teacher. The problem chosen, "the problem of the basket, "aims to bring the student to understand the relationship between the height of launching a ball and scope. For analysis of the data we adopt the standard model of argument proposed by Toulmin. The results show the potential to work activities in the classroom and physical knowledge argumentative processes aimed at school. It also shows that the Toulmin model proved extremely useful in our analysis for understanding the processes of argument. Toulmin's model has proved extremely useful in our analysis for understanding the reasoning processes.
