Description
Summary:The extrusion method was applied to prepare composites with peanut husk, rice husk and walnut shell based on high density polyethylene (HDPE) and the properties of the three composites were compared and analyzed in this study. It was found that the rice husk/HDPE composite has the best mechanical strength and creep resistance compared with peanut husk/HDPE composite and walnut shell/HDPE composite. Moreover, the basic characterization of the three composite showed that the bonding interface of rice husk/HDPE composite was the smoothest and the most uniform compared with peanut husk/HDPE composite and walnut shell/HDPE composite. Although the fiber content had an important effect on the diffraction peak intensity of the composites, it did not change the microcrystalline structure of the three composites.
