Summary:The present article describes the current growth in ethicisation of numerous aspects of life and points out parallels between this trend and the situation in societies regulated by religious norms. The paper lists and discusses possible reasons why this tendency has appeared and concentrates on its negative aspects. Consequently, the author proposes deethicization or limiting moral education as a more realistic, feasible and advantegous strategy.
