description In this paper, the authors discuss the main features of turbo mechanisms based on improved induction motors for usage as a part of variable speed drive. The article gives a detailed calculation of economic parameters obtained during the operation of improved induction motors consisting of variable speed drives of pump units while implementing various control laws. The greatest reduction in energy consumption is achieved by shared use of improved induction motors with higher energy efficiency in pump units and variable speed drives with frequency converters.
