description | Labor education in colleges and universities in the new era is an important prerequisite for the comprehensive implementation of the fundamental task of establishing moral education and the comprehensive development of students. This paper mines the connotation of labor education based on the method of multivariate statistics and constructs a factor analysis model of the connotation of labor education by using the method of factor analysis and cluster analysis combined with the principle of dimension selection. The correlation coefficient matrix is utilized to depict the relevant variables of labor education and to assess the correlation between these original variables and the factors. KMO and Bartlett’s spherical test are used to test the reasonableness of connotation factors in labor education. The results show that the cumulative contribution rate of the first 4 factors of the connotation of labor education, i.e., labor concept, labor ability, labor spirit, and labor habit, are all 70.575%, and the variance contribution rate of the first component before rotation is 44.231%, which accounts for a large part of the total variance contribution rate of the 4 principal components. It indicates that the first four factors of labor education can be considered the main dimensions of education. The research in this paper can promote the development of labor education in colleges and universities to a certain extent and provide a new reference for labor education. |
