Description
Summary:In this article we face some rhetorical and socio-semiotical operations that contribute to build the serial narrative ecosystems, focusing on the Breaking Bad case. More specifically, we will analyse how the series uses recaps, understood as condensed and functional paratextual thresholds, as opposed to the innovative cold opens or teasers, designed instead as textual narrative expansions. Finally, we will propose a typology of recaps that considers seriality expanded over several seasons.
