It was found that L. pentosus is a versatile species found in a variety of environmental niches; it plays a signif-icant role during preparation of many fermented foods, as well as in secreting various antimicrobial substances, and it contributes to reduce environmental pollution. Little research has beed done on L. pentosus role in agricultural production of meat and poultry. |
