Description
Summary:This study shows how an authentic mysticism arose in Guadeloupe. The West Indies are made up of many ethnic groups. In Guadeloupe, the society has been constituted by two waves of migrations; so far this society has been pluri-ethnic and pluri-cultural. Those waves reveal a two dimension globalization: the first is historical, likely to be identified in our history, the second is dynamic and is still expanding nowadays. The cohabitation of these ethnic groups and these cultures has led to the creation of an authentic Guadeloupean mysticism. Thus mysticism is important in the Guadeloupean culture. However there has not been syncretism between all the mysticisms of every ethnic group; and every one can choose the mysticism they want, and change whenever they want.
