Description
Summary:The article presents data on the effect of histamine (biogenic amine) and solution of sodium hypochlorite on certain indices of lipid peroxidation in plasma and tissues of the lung, liver, kidney and heart of rats. It was shown that investigated factors lead to impairment of prooxidant homeostasis in rat’s organism. It was established that histamine in highest concentration (8 µg/kg) causes more expressed negative effect on the processes of lipid peroxidation in all rat tissues as compared to it’s lower concentration (1 µg/kg). There is similar dynamics of content primary and secondary products of lipid peroxidation under the action of histamine and sodium hypochlorite on kidney and lung tissues, where the content of hydroperoxides reduced by the simultaneous action of the studied factors and the content of TBA-active products, however, increased. Changes of indices of hydroperoxides and TBA-positive products content have been detected. It was shown that usage of sodium hypochlorite solution as antihistamine drug did not lead to restoration of lipid peroxidation processes to normal level.
