This research approaches the application of protective measures in cases of domestic violence. Given the fact that the protection measures applied in the case of committing actions that constitute a manifestation of domestic violence is a rather vast institution, it is necessary to make a delimitation between those of civil, contraventional and criminal procedural order. Reference will be made to the procedure for applying protection measures, such as the protection order (civil-procedural/criminal-procedural) and the emergency barring order, the way of monitoring their compliance, as well as the legal consequences in case of violation of these measures by the aggressors.
