Description
Summary:Power factor correction (PFC) is usually realized with a boost converter in a traditional power converter. This paper introduces a PFC modulated WPT method which can realize PFC function through phase-shift modulation of the primary-side inverter of a series-series (SS) WPT system. A close-loop control method of the phase-shift modulated system is also proposed for practical implementations. Without using a PFC converter, the structure of a WPT system can be simplified. Theoretical analysis and experimental results are provided to verify the idea.
