The increase in population is the basis of the sprawl of the city of Kinshasa with the consequent creation of spaces for new housing. Unfortunately, this occupation of the land by the population is done in an anarchic, disorderly manner and without reference to any urban or environmental plan, because the population precedes the State in the occupation of the land and the latter only legalizes this occupation. regardless of housing requirements.
