Description
Summary:More then 16 years ago, the process of transition started in the East European countries, when the Berlin Wall was demolished. But, at present, we cannot talk of important progresses in the former URSS countries in achieving the market economy goals. Their GDP is still about 40-60% of the 1990’s value and it will take a long time for equalizing it. There are hopes that while the Central-East European countries are integrating in the European Union, the East-European countries will take advantages of being neighbors of EU and will make reforms in order to improve their economies.
