ACE inhibitor efficacy is analyzed, according to the results of large randomized studies. These trials have demonstrated ACE inhibitors’ positive effects on cardiovascular event rates. In particular, ACE inhibitors reduced lethality, incidence of heart failure, ischemic events, revascularization, hospitalization due to unstable angina and MI. Varying ACE inhibitors’ effectiveness in general vs individual approach to recruiting subjects into clinical trials, and in various therapy start regimens, is emphasized. |
