Summary:The hagiographic production of the medieval western Maghreb shows that the sea established a mystic space. Several aspects are present ceaselessly in narratives: the walking on the water, the stop of storms and the resistance to the pirates. The sea played an important role in the development of the mystic networks, pulling a reorganization of the space. Through the analysis of narratives hagiographics, are studied the presence of the saints on the coast and in the wide, the main consequence of which is the contribution to the fixation of the populations.
