Summary:ObjectiveTo learn about the fertility level and gender changes of household registration in Qingpu District from 2012 to 2020, and to provide a theoretical basis for the population development planning.MethodsBirth information of newborns with household registration in Qingpu District from 2012 to 2020 was collected through the Shanghai birth medical certificate information system and the public security department. Access 2003 software was used to combine the data,and Excel 2010 software for statistical analysis.ResultsThere were 28 284 live births in household registered in Qingpu District from 2012 to 2020. The crude birth rate was 6.57‰,and the total fertility rate was 30.29‰. Comprehensive fertility rate was 1.12. The sex ratio at birth was 105.49.ConclusionThere is a low fertility level in Qingpu District. The proportion of the second child increased year by year but decreased after 2017. Negative population growth is intensified year by year.
