Description
Summary:The article is devoted to the role of radio broadcasting and cinematography in rural areas of the 1920s based on the materials of the Bryansk, Smolensk and Gomel provinces. The simplicity and accessibility of these technological innovations contributed to their spread in the Soviet province and had a generally positive impact on the formation of the socio-cultural image of rural residents. The implementation of research tasks was achieved by using documents extracted from the state archive of the Bryansk region, as well as by analyzing historical and graphic sources on the history of radio and cinema in the studied period. The main principles of historical knowledge-objectivity, consistency, historicism and concreteness - are the methodological basis of the research. Archival and historiographical sources on the history of radio broadcasting and cinema were studied. The material, financial and technical problems that prevent the spread of these technical innovations are considered. The positive influence of radio and cinema on the socio-cultural image of rural residents is noted. Based on the analysis of historiographic and archival sources, the authors point out the ideological component in the activities of the studied technical innovations, the weak connection of the repertoire with real life, material, financial and technical problems. At the same time, the new government paid attention to the development of various communications in order to modernize rural life and form "Pro-Soviet" sentiments in the village. At the same time, there was an expansion of the General Outlook of rural residents, the formation of a new information and communication space.
