Reaction has been found 1 and 1.39 order with respect to chlorite and hydrochloric acid respectively when preparing chloride dioxide using low concentrations of sodium chlorite and hydrochloric acid. The temperature dependence of the reaction is also investigated and pre-exponential Arrhenius parameter as well as activation energy are determined.
