Description
Summary:As biological agents interfere with immunity, there are potential concerns regarding increased rates of both common and unusual infections among treated patients. While most biologicals are generally safe, agents that inhibit tumor necrosis factor alpha and monoclonal antibodies against specific subsets of leukocytes may cause different, sometimes life threating infectious complications.
