description | The paper addresses the under-studied issue of ethnic relationship of resentatives of various peoples and nationalities who moved to the Siberian village during mass colonization ofWestern Siberia. Considerable attention is paid to places of compact moving of the indigenous and settling peoples, to the introduced national traditions and customs and their further adaptation in the conditions of consolidation. The paper describes Priishimye peasants, their cultural habits and household preferences which developed as a result of long-term cultural exchange between the indigeneous residents and new settlers. The concept of “Ishimye peasanta” included not only the representatives Malorossiya and Velikorossiya, but also Tatars, Siberian Bukharans, Poles, Jews, Germans, Balts. After studying a wide range of archival materials and pre-revolutionary sources on Priishimye history, the author concludes that the state and local authorities in every possible way tried not to allow chauvinism, racism, anti-semitism and ethnocentrism of Russians over other peoples and nationalities living in theterritoryofTobolsk Vicegerencyand Province. The research has interdisciplinary character as it raises the questions of history, studies of local lore, economy, ethnography, sociology and religious studies. |
