description Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) are the components of metabolic syndrome, the incidence of which is increasing in the world every year. The article presents the results of treatment of 110 patients with NAFLD and its combination with type 2 DM. Patients were divided into two groups: I group — 63 patients with isolated NAFLD, II group — 47 patients with comorbidity (NAFLD and type 2 DM). During a month, all patients received vitamins B6, B12 and folic acid. As a result, patients reported reduction in homocysteine content in blood plasma, normalization of lipid metabolism and the level of liver enzymes.
