Description
Summary:Nowadays Arendt´s thought is a fundamental criterion in what refers to politics and her writing confirms her effort to understand reality. Totalitarianism is the framework of reference for the reflections of the Jewish-German philosopher. Nevertheless, her proposals vindicate politics if we understand it as agreements, as beginnings where speech and freedom are integral parts of the public sphere. The public sphere is where there is an attempt to create the dignity of politics that totalitarianism profoundly perverted. This is why Arendt resignifies the concept of power and revindicates humanism when it is confronted by massification, because living is carried out by individual persons. Her republican posture has its origins in the deliberation with others of an authority ruled by laws that work for the good of the community.
