The author traces the history of revision processes of three successful classification systems (Dewey Decimal Classification, Library of Congress Classification and Universal Decimal Classification ), and attempt to recommend the better revision mechanism for Lai's New Classification Scheme for Chinese Libraries ( 中國 圖書分類法)in Taiwan
