Description
Summary:Psoriasis is a chronic, systemic inflammatory disease. The pathogenesis of psoriasis is associated with genetics, ethnic, pathogens, environments, etc. Traditional treatment approaches include topical therapy, physical management and systemic medication, which all have difficulty to completely clear the lesions. However, biological agents exhibit superior benefits, such as rapid clearance of lesions and improvements in the quality of patients’ lives. With the increases in the number of biologics and real-world users, the adverse reactions to biologics and countermeasures have caught much attention. In this paper, we summarize the adverse reactions, such as reactivation of tuberculosis and hepatitis, infusion reactions and cardiovascular adverse events to biologics approved in China. In addition, countermeasures to manage these adverse reactions are discussed to help personalized use of biological agents.
