description The article presents the use of machine monitoring as an information basis for a control system for maintenance and repair processes, which improves the use of agricultural machinery and reduces the costs of its operation. Improving the planning and management of maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery based on modern technical means plays an important role in increasing its efficiency of use. It is noted that the use of diagnostic tools allows optimizing maintenance and repair processes. The main methods and means of determining the technical condition of the main units of agricultural machinery were used, such as: instrumental method, visual method, organoleptic methods, resource parameter, limit value of the parameter, structural parameters, technical condition parameters. The advantage of monitoring the technical condition of discarded agricultural machinery using a random check method is the determination of the residual life of individual components and assemblies of the machines.
