Summary:Clamping force control is one of the key technologies of metal V-belt Continuously Variable Transmission( CVT) control. The absolute safety coefficient method can guarantee the minimum system clamping force of no-load,but its clamping force margin is too large compared with traditional method. In order to reduce system clamping force,the clamping force fuzzy calculation method is proposed on the basis of absolute safety coefficient method. The mathematical model and simulation model of engine,CVT and vehicle are established,and the simulation test of starting condition,rapid acceleration condition,rapid deceleration condition and cycle condition show that the clamping force average decrease of about 5% and the fuel economy of complete vehicle through the fuzzy calculation of clamping force is improved.
