| Summary: | The urban texture of the Keban settlement, which has maintained its importance for a long time in the historical process, has been directed by topographical factors. In addition to the physical elements that give the texture its character, the solutions used to enable people to move around the space more easily have given the settlement a different topological feature. In the study, the topological analysis of the Keban settlement pattern was made. While analyzing, Space Syntax Analysis method was used to determine the hierarchical structure of streets and streets in urban morphology. Thus, the unique texture of the settlement was evaluated in terms of spatial integration and integration. In particular, the importance of the stairs, which provide easier access for pedestrians in the settlement, on the integration and integration of the settlement has been emphasized. Two basic analyzes were made on the road texture of the settlement at this scale. While one of them contains all the systems, the other is analyzed by removing the stairs from the system. By comparing both simulations, the importance of stairs on texture functioning is discussed. As a result, the importance of stairs in integration has been determined on the transportation system, which has developed as the topography allows, with the data obtained. |
