description In the conditions of the mountainous zone of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania more than 120 varieties of potatoes of domestic and foreign breeding were studied for breeding on economic and biological grounds. Adjustments are made to the Parameters of the Early and Middle Ripening Varieties Model for the North Caucasus Region. Estilla and Ehud varieties showed the highest productivity, Estima - more than 35 t / ha, starch content - Predgorny variety (16.73 mg%), Vladikavkazsky variety (16.37 mg%) and Adretta variety (16.31 mg%).
